About Dr Livia van Rensburg
Dr Livia van Rensburg was born and raised in Pretoria. After school she accomplished her MBChB in 2015 at the University of Pretoria.
She moved to Johannesburg in 2016 where she completed her Internship and Community Service years at Helen Joseph Hospital and Charlotte Maxeke Academic Hospital respectively.
Dr Livie stayed on as a Medical Officer in Anesthesia for 2 years to acquire her Diploma in Anesthesiology. It was there where she realized her love for pain medicine and left the public health sector to pursue this passion.
She completed her Diploma in Interdisciplinary Pain Management at UCT in 2022 and moved to Cape Town to open her own Multidisciplinary Pain Management Practice.
Dr Livie strives to keep her pain management career a passion and therefore spends her time working in several other multidisciplinary settings.
UPSKILL
Dr Livie is currently working towards acquiring her Interventional Pain management qualification and frequently attends both local and international congresses in pain management.
OUTSIDE
Dr Livie lives with her husband and three (naughty) dogs in Blouberg and they mostly spend their time on the beach or on a hike.
